July 27, 2011: A PHENOMENAL DAY...

Recreating at Auke Rec in Juneau, Alaska...

Beautiful Auke Bay...

My husband enjoying a game of horseshoes (my...what form, huh?...)
~ look closely and you can see the horseshoe in flight...

Our friend  having a good time as well...

A favorite fishing spot for many at the point...

Several views through the trees along Auke Rec Trail...

A crow atop the roof of the shelter at Auke Rec...

Driftwood at the tideline on the beach of Auke Rec...

Now this is what I call one beautiful Alaskan dog
...I'm glad he stopped by to visit us...

We watched this mother Merganser Duck teaching her young ones
to fish for about an hour...What a spectacular sighting...

A huge fire blazing in the stone fireplace inside the Auke Rec shelter...

Pretty and dainty Wild Alaska Flowers...

Stunning Wild Alaska Daisy...

We enjoyed our day, and I could not resist taking
'just one more' snapshot of these beauties...

May 2, 2011: Update on my dwarf citrus trees...

My four-year-old dwarf
indoor-potted citrus trees...

My Dwarf Meyer Lemon Tree ~
the lemon in the forefront will be ready to be picked
once it has a slight orange hue to it,
and the one in the foreground still has a way to go
as it has not fully turned bright yellow yet
(to get to this stage these have taken a little over one year...

These are new blossoms on the Meyer Lemon Tree
that just appeared over this past week...

This is one of several new baby Meyer Lemons
that appeared a couple of weeks ago
from blossoms such as what is shown above...

These are two new baby Bearss Seedless Limes
on my other drarf citrus tree ~
It's the first time this tree has produced limes,
so needless to say,"I'm absolutely thrilled."

January 10, 2011: WHILE LETTING MISS CHELSEY (MY PUPPY) OUT THIS MORNING ~ I SAW SUCH A SIGHT...

What a wonderful blessing we have to live in the land of the most beautiful place on Earth - Juneau - in Southeast Alaska...

I looked up and immediately noticed the stunning colors
surrounding this cloud formation...

And then, I noticed the feathered
looking cloud above it...

I just had to take one more ~
What a wonderful day this is going to be!
Life and its simple pleasures...

December 13, 2010: Winter Wonderland here in Juneau, Alaska this Holiday Season...

It was spectacular to wake up and view the beauty of our winter wonderland today on December 13, 2010, and it started snowing in the midst of shooting the photographs...as you'll see...

December 1, 2010: I SO LOVE MY PLANTS...

Well, my very first indoor cherry tomato plant I potted from seed last April ~ my sole "baby cherry tomato" has fully ripened today on 12-1-10, after taking 8 months (notice the snowfall we received in Juneau, Alaska, over the past couple of days outside the window)...What a wonder, huh?...Dare I pick the "baby cherry tomato?"...Let alone eat it?...

October 5, 2010: Spectacular Sunset in Juneau, Alaska...

On October 5, 2010, this sunset broke through billowy clouds just for a few minutes during a fall storm a couple of days ago, it was still raining out at the time, and the southeast winds were gusting up to 55 miles per hour throughout the day...

It was short-lived, as the storm returned within minutes
and the weather was once again "raining sideways,"
which is typical for Southeast Alaska this time of year...
