October 27, 2012: The Evergreen Grasping the Moon in Juneau, Alaska...

October 27, 2012:

The evergreen tree appears to be grasping
the nearly full moon
at 9:48 p.m. Alaska Standard Time (AST)
in Juneau, Alaska...

June 10, 2012: On the water with family in Juneau, Alaska...

June 10, 2012:

We enjoyed our Sunday with family
out on the water in Juneau, Alaska
trying to catch a king salmon and a rainy day.

No luck catching a king salmon,
although we had a fabulous lunch while
laughing and telling stories...

Heading out of the harbor...

A bald eagle in a tree on the point,
and it was perched there for hours...

A couple of geese
flying overhead...

A Scoter popped
up for a visit...
A soaring bald eagle...

Alaska Seaplane...
A couple of beagles ran quite the distance
along the shoreline; they were all alone
and appeared to be on a mission of some sort

before heading into the trees above...

We thought they had a fish on,
but no go...
Slow day fishing for everyone,
never saw anyone (including us)

hook a king salmon today...
This bald eagle was in this tree
for a hour and a half before it took flight.

What a fabulous day we all had!!

October 5, 2010: Spectacular Sunset in Juneau, Alaska...

On October 5, 2010, this sunset broke through billowy clouds just for a few minutes during a fall storm a couple of days ago, it was still raining out at the time, and the southeast winds were gusting up to 55 miles per hour throughout the day...

It was short-lived, as the storm returned within minutes
and the weather was once again "raining sideways,"
which is typical for Southeast Alaska this time of year...

Fall of 2009: Moose Hunting Trip in Southeast Alaska...

Fall of 2009:

My husband Max and brothers-in-law Larry and Kevin had a successful moose hunt, with the help of brother-in-law Dean and his wife Chantil to transport them to the shed to hang in 2009 in Southeast Alaska...
