May 26, 2011:
Our sixth day fishing the Spring King Salmon Derby the month of May in Juneau, Alaska from our skiff at Tee Harbor...
A beautiful day to be in the skiff taking photographs of the delightful scenery.
...The wind was up, so it was bit choppy... |
A day on the water with my best friend ~ my husband... |
A person fishing off the shoreline of Tee Harbor... |
A Bald Eagle soaring above the trees... |
A Whale off the entrance of Tee Harbor... |
It's a derby out there... |
A crisp blue and clear day, so Bald Eagles were soaring off and on all day long... |
Only on a very clear day was I able to capture this mountain behind Tee Harbor... |
Waves breaking at the point of Tee Harbor... |
Bald Eagles are so regal... |
The sun is starting to set over the mountains, with a skiff off the entrance of Tee Harbor... |
Tee Harbor, and to the left is the beach area where fishermen launch their skiffs... |
Derby fishermen fighting a King Salmon inside Tee Harbor... |
Well, the skiff is out of the water...we're heading home (no fish today ;) ~ this is a view of Auk Nu Cove where the ferry terminal is located in Juneau, Alaska |
