SEPTEMBER-OCTOBER 2017

YAKUTAT ALASKA:

Me, my husband Max and our pup Lil' Miss Chelsey's 

first adventure with brother Dean and his wife Chantil

started off clam digging

in two separate areas in the same general location, 

which included a side trip in-between 

to walk and sightsee along the ocean shoreline...

We returned back home and had a few wildlife visitors on the property, 

as well as viewed from our deck and on the lake below...

How elegant and graceful is this deer, 

what a treat to find across the street from home...

On the shoreline of the lake 

a young bald eagle with its catch (we think its an unlucky duck), 

as viewed from our deck above...

We ventured out the road (30 mile) for a picnic 

with brother Dean, his wife Chantil and nephew Ryan...

A day out fishing and wildlife viewing;

we weren't disappointed, 

luckily...

Upon our return, 

we were trilled to view this brown bear 

from the deck above the lake...

My brother John arrived for several weeks to design and construct 

(with the help of the hubs)

a new and separate bedroom with its own windows and heating source

in our loft area...

Taking a break with brother John from construction

and other work we've been doing around our property 

to enjoy incredible sightseeing 

that Yakutat has to offer...

Another great trip to Yakutat Alaska 

(our home away from home in Juneau Alaska) 

and it's always hard to leave.  

Even so, it makes it easier 

because we usually have a set date when we know we'll return soon, 

so until then...
