before continuing on...
The thick, dense fog bank
finally started to break...

waiting for weather to improve
before, hopefully, heading back to outside waters
for a final trip in 2012...

April 28, 2008:

As I watched our newly purchased 43' Power Troller the "F/V Chelsey"
enter Auke Bay with my husband Captain Max
at the helm bringing her home to Juneau, Alaska.

Needless to say, it was a proud moment we'll treasure forever.
We have already made so many unforgettable memories aboard her...

Summer 2010:

Our family outing aboard the F/V Chelsey

Another view of Auke Bay...
Our friends Ole and Karen also fishing
the derby who stopped to chat...

Max's brother Steve heading through the pass to Statter Harbor

after stopping to tell us his derby stories for the day...

Spring 2010:

You can tell summer is here when the
F/V Chelsey's underneath gets newly
repainted every spring a pretty 'marine blue' --
Max did a 'dynamite' job...

Winter of 2009 through 2010:

The F/V Chelsey moored at Harris Harbor in Downtown Juneau...

Spring 2010:

We're pretty proud of our newest member of the family
(our Lund skiff).

It's very convenient and fast to just hook the trailer up to the pickup
when we get the whim to go fishing, so we're able to be on our way quickly
to begin fishing either north or south in Juneau, Alaska;
plus launching within minutes is an absolute bonus!
